On Studying Professional Dog Breeding![]() Purebred Breeders Directory | Best Breeds For Kids | Dog Breeder 101 The world of professional dog breeding is one that has grown exponentially in recent years. This should come as no surprise when one considers the fact that dogs remain the most popular pet in the known universe. Because people’s love for dogs is so vast, the demand for high quality dogs is very high and this fuels the professional dog breeding industry. If there were any prevalent misconception about dog breeding, however, it would be that the profession is easy to get involved with. That is to say, there is very little formal skill required when it comes to professional dog breeding. This is, of course, a shamelessly ridiculous belief that has unfortunately prospered due to the public’s limited knowledge about the profession. The reality is that professional dog breeding, like any other profession, requires a formal education. By spending significant time in the formal study of what it takes and what is involved in becoming a professional dog breeder, a person can learn the traits that can make him or her quite the successful dog breeder. Like any other learning module, when one takes on the study of dog breeding, there will be a period where the general information is introduced to the student, the information is processed, the information is put to use within the isolated confines of a classroom setting under the watchful eye of careful instructor moderation, feedback is then provided to the student and then the student slowly develops a working knowledge of the field in order to embark on the first steps of putting that knowledge to use in a professional environment. Those students who are willing to invest the proper amount of dedication involved in learning professional dog breeding will then be rewarded with a fun and exciting career where they will be surrounded by the companionship of man’s best friend. What could be better than that?
